BEHAVIOR

The prairie rattlesnake is solitary and nocturnal, although during the mating season, they may engage in courtship rituals and briefly congregate in dens.
DIET

The prairie rattlesnake is an ambush predator with highly potent venom that is utilized to dispatch a variety of small vertebrate prey.

HABITAT
The prairie rattlesnake can be found in grasslands, prairies, and rocky outcrops where it can sun itself and seek shelter in crevices.
